This record is totally not what I expected. I expected all the bands to convert popular rap tunes into rock anthems; which some did. However, about half the tracks feature popular punk/screamo bands actually rapping to remixes of 2pac, Biggie etc!  That being said, its pretty damn entertaining. Scary Kids do a pretty bang up job covering “Notorious Thugs” and Set Your Goals does Lil’ John better than Lil’ John does Lil’ John.

The Devil Wears Prada covering “Still Fly” and All Time Low doing “Umbrella” are the rock highlights of the record. TDWP’s cover sounds so good it feels like it could be a track off their last Rise release.

I was skeptical about this release when I got it but I am now a believer. If you’re looking to pick up a fun record to blast in your car, definitely, check this out.

This record fucking sucks. Every track is horrible. Set Your Goals’ song is especially awful - one of the worst opening tracks to a comp I’ve ever heard.

I completely disagree. Set Your Goals made their song far more entertaining than anything else out there. In all honesty I prefer their hardcore-ish/crunk style way more than their repetitive songs off of “Mutiny” and such. This record isn’t great but there are some tracks worth listening to: SYG, SKSK, TDWP, FTSK, LD, and ATL are my personal favorites.

I heard the version of Umbrella by All Time Low, and I thought it was alright. I downloaded the c.d from iTunes, and it was the only “famous” track from that c.d. If the bands were more popular, (not saying they arent) it would get better reviews. As for the rest of the music, Id give it a 3 outta 10
