Interview by our booking agent MERRICK JARMULOWICZ (The Kenmore Agency) and JEREMY BOLM (vocals for Touche Amore)

First question in two parts. Part a, identify yourself, comrade!  Part b, is it as strange to answer questions from a person that likely already

knows the answer as it is to ask a person questions you already know the answer to?

My name is Jeremy, and by the third time reading that question I understand it.. Yes.

You leave soon for a tour with the legendary Japanese band, Envy. You recently toured with both Converge, Bane, and Coalesce.  The members of all these bands are well into their 30s.  How does it feel to be the perpetual “children” on tour?  If yes, do you resent me at all for that? Also, have you learned anything from having more seasoned touring mates (Either personally or about existing as a band)?

Nothing wrong with feeling young! We’ve actually learned quite a lot from touring with seasoned veterans! A lot of the members of bands mentioned

enjoyed giving us advice/helping us out/being all around “big brother” figures to us. Couldn’t ask for cooler tourmates!

You recently released 2 split 7″s and have begun writing for a new full length.  Could you give a little insight as to any differences between the process of writing the 7″s and the new record?

Well the splits were the last songs recorded with now ex-member Tyson White on guitar. He left during the Converge tour. So far we’re about 6 songs deep into new material and the songs are coming along really well. Nick Steinhardt who always has been our bass player is taking over 2nd guitar duties and long time Bass fill-in Tyler Kirby is now our bass player. Expect a much brighter Touche Amore.

Are you excited about any new bands?  If you name any bands that are part of The Wave,

this interview is fucking over.

HAHA! Fine! Joyce Manor is going to be the next big thing. I just saw a band called Buyers Remorse that has Justin from Graf Orlock in it. They’re like Hot Snakes.. so you’d be down.

Could you list your top three bands/projects that include(d) Ian MacKaye as a member? Since you probably won’t list Embrace above Minor Threat, how does it feel to know your wrong before you even answer?

Dare me to say The Evens first!.. I’ll be the obvious kid and say 1) Minor Threat 2) Embrace 3) Fugazi

Last question always has to be the most self-indulgent.  As self-indulgent as this interview as been, it is going to be difficult to top. You spent a month on my couch.  You spend several weeks with Elliot Babin at a time. Who is a better roommate, my cat, Zachariah or the human koala bear, Elliot?  Who is better hygienically?  Who is all around cuter?

Better roommate I’m going team Zachariah. I’m super into roomies who keep to themselves. Zach had no interest in me aside from an occasional smooch. Hygienically… it’s team Zachariah again. I watched him bathe himself at least twice a day, which unfortunately I can say I haven’t seen Elliot bathe himself twice in a week. Cuter all around, I’m team Elliot. Those shorts, that laugh, and that outlook on everything. Best human being.
