GRATITUDE

Hello this is Mike McColgan lead singer of The Street Dogs here. How are you?  Hopefully this finds you well.  In my blog I would like to cover the topic of, or more aptly put, the attitude of Gratitude.  Let me start by saying all of the members of The Street Dogs are grateful to all of our fans for taking time and money out of their lives to buy our records and come and see us live.  Especially given the difficult economic times.  Gratitude also extends beyond the customary and legitimate thanks as well. We are all very lucky to be able to record, tour and have a great label like Hellcat/Epitaph behind us in all of our endeavors. In our band we constantly try to keep this fresh in our minds and never exhibit an attitude of entitlement. Plus we make it a point to stay accessible to our fans or would be fans at shows or in any other life setting. Equal footing is where we are at with our fans, our friends and even our families. The attitude is all encompassing for us. We are no better than anybody or for that matter no less. Do we have bad days or moments when we get frustrated, lose our cool and come off the path of being grateful or right-sized with our feet on the ground? Of course we do but we own it if we act too cool for school, offend somebody or act like idiots. We are not above apology or learning from our mistakes. No one is perfect. That being said I feel like it is fair to say that we are more often than not thankful for everything we got, all the good we have been through, the bad, the indifferent and in between. It has directly and indirectly molded us all and made us into who we collectively are. In ending I would like to thank SDA, fans, would be fans, resentful detractors, legitimate critics,

friends, family and coffee as you all collectively are the gas in our tank and the wind beneath our sails.

Also from here on in (until further notice otherwise) I will be doing a weekly blog for AMP. I will look to cover a wide array of topics in my blog and also welcome positive feedback, negative feedback, good ideas or bad ideas. Reach out to me with your ideas on my twitter page http://twitter.com/MikeMcColgan. Hit me up and let me know what’s on your mind.

So until next week be well my friends!

Without You All We Are Nothing!

Respectfully Submitted,

Mike McColgan
