An evil demon has, once again, reared its wicked head from the swamps of Florida to wreakhavoc on the metal landscape. The demon’s name is INFERNAEON, and this Floridian outfithas returned with the follow up to 2007’s “A Symphony of Suffering,” entitled, “Genesis ToNemesis,” out August 31st on Prosthetic Records. This time around front man and formerMONSTROSITY member Brian Werner found himself accompanied by two new guitarists,Taylor Nordberg and Steven Harger, new bassist Mike Poggione, as well as drummer JeramieKing (The Absence).This time around, INFERNAEON entered Erik Rutan’s infamous metal factory, ManaRecording Studios (Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal), with Brian Elliot (Dawn of Azazel, Gravesof Valor) who engineered, mixed and mastered their blend of Floridian death metal andsymphonic European black metal. Gwar main man Oderus Urungus stopped by to lend his vocalstylings to “reimagining” of the Metallica classic, “Creeping Death.”INFERNAEON who have shared the stage with the likes of Malevolent Creation, Deicide,Atheist, Deeds of Flesh, Vile, and Impaled, are ready to show the underworld that Florida isstill firmly atop the heap of extreme metal.
