AgesandAges’ song “No Nostalgia” has been chosen as one of 29 songs included on the soundtrack compiled for the Barack Obama re-election campaign. The Wall Street Journal reported that the soundtrack “incorporates a mix of artists, ages and genres with songs that touch upon themes such as will, redemption and comeback.”

The songs will be used at rallies, speeches and other events in 2012. Rolling Stone caught up with AgesandAges founder Tim Perry today to talk about being selected  – you can read the entire interview HERE.

The Portland-based 7-piece’s choral, layered pop songs and uplifting, joyous live shows brought them critical and popular acclaim in 2011 following the release of their Knitting Factory Records debut, Alright You Restless.

AgesandAges is currently at work writing their next album. Click HERE  for more info.
